Born in Romania and raised in Cyprus, coming from a family of artists, I recently picked up the crayon and started drawing on every surface I would find, walls, paper, ground etc. I felt like I was ahead of my age, that the phase in which kids at my age were, I had passed it already and I remember that I wanted to grow big and be like the grown-ups. Don't know why I wanted that, thinking of it now, being a small kid ruled! Growing up, I recently bumped into several harsh situations, which gave me a sour taste of life I still have.

One day I came in contact with our newly purchased Gateway laptop. Fascinated, I stated learning the basics, discovering the internet, playing addictive games. At that period of my life I was mesmerized; I could do anything with that thick piece of plastic... anything! Getting software was easy, I had a lot of friends who were pirates (not an actual pirate, I mean those who distribute pirated software) which were happy enough to lend me their software collection! I was like a sponge (Bob) absorbing everything about computers. Needless to say that my school marks dropped like a stock exchange during the credit crunch!

Not after a long time, I came in contact with photography; loved it from the first moment. Following the same route I followed with computers, I shortly learned everything I could about photography! While other kids were playing outside I was on the computer or taking photographs. As I said, I felt like I was ahead of my age...

After a while I made contact with website design and implementation, html, css, php, servers, networks, topologies, routers. I was deeply involved in the networking of my high school and I even received a recognition diploma from the headmaster! YAY! :p I knew I had to study something with computers. That's what I'm doing now, studying software engineering and I'll be finishing next year! I have to say that even today, being a big kid now, my mentality hasn't changed. While other big kids go out at nights, I'm still on the computer coding websites of software. Well yeah, you may say I'm a geek! But I don't feel like so, I'm just a normal person, although friends consider me abnormal! :p
What's noticeable is that I've neglected photography for a while now and I need to get back on track with it! I started from drawing and went through painting, photography, digital art, music, web design and programming; and in the near future I want to improve in the animation and 3D domain. So, who knows what the future holds for me! In whatever I do I would want to succeed and for that hard work is required! If I won't be able to, then I hope 2012 IS the year where all will come to an end! :p
